A pioneer in the private equity industry, Mr. Albert’s distinguished career includes 24 years with Merrill Lynch, where he was Managing Director and Global Head of the Private Equity Placement Group. In 2005, at its inception, Mr. Albert joined Elevation Partners as Managing Director, to help raise the firm’s first fund for investment in media and entertainment businesses.

Commenting on his move to Pantheon, Mr. Albert said: “In my view, the best way to ensure superior private equity returns today is to place capital with a large, capable and disciplined professional investment management firm – a fund of funds – and one with proven ability over a long period of time to generate returns on the “right side” of the return bell curve. Pantheon has a strong and consistent track record, over various market cycles, of successful investment in primary private equity funds and secondary assets across the US, Europe and Asia since 1983 – I am delighted to be joining Pantheon.”

Alastair Bruce, Managing Partner at Pantheon, added: “We too are delighted that Kevin is joining us – he is one of the most experienced and respected people in our industry. We share a view of the global private equity market, as well as our core values of being innovative, client-focused and performance driven. We believe these values are fundamental in building and managing successful long-term relationships with our clients.”

Pantheon is a leading global private equity fund-of-funds manager that invests on behalf of over 300 institutional investors, including public and private pension plans, insurance companies, banks, endowments and foundations.
