The course covers all aspects of Java programming, including the Java language constructs, the Java classes and the Java environment, building stand-alone Java applications as well as Java-enabled Internet pages, using Java applets written in HTML. The course is lab-intensive, and the students gain direct, hands-on experience of the language constructs and application development with Java. The course combines lectures with interactive demonstrations of all aspects of the Java environment and usage. The course includes a Java textbook, in addition to the standard Pantheon course notebook and lab solutions.
