San Francisco — September 5, 2007 — Global fund-of-funds and secondaries specialist Pantheon Ventures Ltd. announced that Rudy Scarpa has joined its secondary investment team as a partner.

Scarpa was previously a partner at Coller Capital in New York, where he was a key member of the deal-sourcing team. He also played an instrumental role in analysis, structuring and execution of secondary transactions. Prior to Coller Capital, Scarpa worked at Thomas H. Lee Putnam Ventures, Merrill Lynch and Skadden Arps. Scarpa’s primary role at Pantheon will be to establish the firm’s presence in New York, to supplement the U.S. coverage provided by the existing San Francisco office. His focus will be on secondary deal origination, structuring and transacting.

He will report to Elly Livingstone, head of Pantheon’s global secondaries team, who is based in London.

“Rudy’s experience, energy, creativity and track record will provide an excellent complement to our existing resource, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team,” Livingstone said. “Rudy is an outstanding professional, and this hire reflects Pantheon’s commitment to continue strengthening and developing its world-class secondaries team.”

Pantheon has a 20-year track record of successful secondary investing, and on behalf of its clients, has committed in excess of $3.5 billion in the secondary market globally across more than 220 transactions, including over 70 portfolio transactions and more than 150 single fund secondaries.
