San Francisco — November 5, 2007 — Global fund-of-funds investment manager Pantheon announced that Dennis McCrary has joined its U.S. investment team as a partner.
McCrary will focus on all aspects of Pantheon’s U.S. fund investment activity, as well as develop and oversee a U.S. co-investment strategy for its clients. McCrary will be based in Chicago and will work closely with the San Francisco-based primary investment team led by Susan Long McAndrews. McCrary will immediately join the U.S. Regional Investment Committee, the Co-Investment Committee, and the International Investment Committee.
“Dennis is a world-class private equity investor, and we are delighted to have him join as senior member of our firm,” McAndrews said. “He brings significant experience on a global scale, having worked with a variety of private equity firms as a fund investor and in a direct deal capacity. Dennis will add to the Pantheon team through his strategic understanding of the global markets and his extensive private equity relationships, particularly in the United States.”
McCrary was previously a partner at Adams Street Partners in Chicago, where he was head of the U.S. Partnership Team and was responsible for primary and secondary fund investing and a member of the firm’s global investment committee. Previously, McCrary held a variety of investment banking and principal investing roles during a 20-year career with Bank of America, and its predecessor, Continental Bank.
“I am delighted to be joining such a great group of professionals with a real partnership mentality,” McCrary said. “Pantheon is a world-class global platform with a great reputation that is ideally situated within all sectors of the private equity business. As the industry continues its rapid evolution, I am confident we are very well positioned to provide superior investment returns to our clients, and I am excited to contribute to that end.”
Pantheon is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a global private equity investment manager and currently manages approximately US$20 billion in AUM as of June 30, 2007, for more than 250 clients worldwide.
